Time: A Journey Through Moments, Memories, and Change
A National Juried Photography Exhibition
The American Center for Photographers located in Wilson, North Carolina, is hosting its inaugural National Juried Photography Exhibit. I am so excited to have one of my pieces chosen for this stunning new show.
“Death of a Homestead” is a piece created from three (of a series of several) photographs taken over an almost 40-year period, chronicling the deterioration of a homestead house located just off I-25 in central Wyoming. My fascination with the abandoned started early; the first photograph taken when I was just 16. The piece not only shows the changes of time on the house and its shade trees through the years, but also the changes in photography. The first photo captured on film, the second on an early digital camera in the 2000’s, and the last captured on a mirrorless DLR in 2024.

ArtFluent: Serenity
I’m pleased that Happy Jack Moon has been chosen to be part of the online gallery exhibit, SERENITY.
SERENITY is a breath. A soft place to land. These works ask nothing of you but your presence. They draw from still water, quiet woods, open sky, and clarity found behind closed eyes. Serenity isn’t something we chase. It’s something we return to. This is an invitation to simply be.
